When you pull up to the Galt Country Club's 100-year old private estate, you can see and feel the prestige and history that make up this members-only golf and country club. For a bride and groom, it's Galt's exclusive atmosphere and beauty - inside and out - that make it so easy to envision a wedding day hosted here. Galt offers a team of professionals, space to accommodate anywhere from 50 to 200 guests, three banquet rooms, full catering services, and the natural beauty of

wall-to-wall windows and historical architecture.

Raising expectations

Galt Country Club is an exclusive private Club established in 1906 offering golf, curling and social memberships. General Manager, Scott Stanhope, explained what this means to you, "Our members expect the best... professionalism, expertise, and the highest level of personalized service. We do everything possible to surpass our membership expectations." To host a wedding at Galt, the bride and groom must purchase a social membership, or be sponsored in by a member of the Club. With membership, couples become entitled to special rates and a number of additional privileges and events, in addition to a beautiful location for their wedding day.

Personally speaking...

When we met with Scott to find out more about what Galt Country Club offers area brides, he spoke proudly of the Club's history, their specialties, and the future. Scott says, "You're only as good as your last wedding - we try to improve each and every event." With a motto of continual improvement, Scott and his team are having nothing but success with their first class prestigious operation. Their detail-oriented attitude and insistence on perfection make it easy to see why brides are leaving their weddings in the capable hands of the Galt Country Club.

A Country Club wedding

The Galt Country Club specializes in breathtaking events, organization and quality service. Scott will be the first to tell you that, "Ninety-five percent of the success of your wedding happens before you ever arrive on your wedding day." Catering Manager, Rose Hoch, and the Club's staff will provide complete support for your wedding celebration – from conception to completion. Planning, preparation, catering, décor, logistics... Everything is taken care of for you before you ever step through the doors. They will be thinking ahead for you and making sure they are meeting your needs and those of your guests. The Galt Country Club is perfect for brides who want to host an event with all the special details in place, and who want their guests to be taken care of.

Flexibility and wedding design

Flexibility is certainly a big part of the job for Catering Manager Rose Hoch. Whether your wedding is a traditional affair, or a celebration based on diverse culture and ethnic background, Rose will help you bring together all the details, and bring your day off without a hitch. "Every detail can be personalized at the Club. Your menu is customized... there are no pre-arranged packages, everything is designed to suit your needs and budget." There is even food sampling available to make your decision process easier... and much more enjoyable!

• As a guideline for food pricing, a three to five course meal at Galt could cost an average of $35 to $45 per person.

• A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required to guarantee your booking.

• Non-members must pay the estimated balance 48 hours in advance of their event.

• Members are billed for the balance following their event.

• There is a 15% service charge for gratuity in addition to the quoted prices.

• The Club recommends booking 1 to 2 years in advance, although openings do become available due to cancellations that may occur.

• Galt Country Club is a year-round facility and can accommodate any season's wedding (with limited availability in December).

• Friday weddings can be accommodated from October to May.
