FouldsRoberts uses influences of
fine art, history, & contemporary fashion to capture brides having fun & looking
spectacular
Depending
on who is behind the lens, wedding photography has the opportunity to take on a
personality of its own while it tells your story. Jamie Roberts and Doug Foulds
founded FouldsRoberts Photography three years ago with their own signature style
of shooting. Jamie and Doug use the influence of fine art, historical
photography, and contemporary fashion in their approach to documenting wedding
days. "You'll have fun with us, and you'll look spectacular doing it. We'll give
you the very best of both worlds: 'How-did-they-get-that-shot!' photojournalism
that tells the story of your day, and breathtaking yet natural formals that
capture the glamour of your wedding." True to their word, FouldsRoberts offers
photography that doesn't just tell a story, but shows angles you'd never expect
and beauty where you wouldn't have thought to look for it. Booking as much as a
year in advance, FouldsRoberts is a true find for any bride who puts wedding
photos at the top of her list of priorities. After three years of photographing
weddings together, Doug Foulds and Jamie Roberts specialize in a...

New designer makes
trendy invites, décor and favours a snap
Erica Harrison
believes that your wedding day truly begins with your invitation. "I love that the
invitation sets the tone for your wedding day. Each piece gives your guests a taste of what's to come."
With Erica, each stationary piece is hand-made, from your save-the-date cards to
your thank you cards and even some of the favours. With Erica, there are no minimum
orders for invitations and no rules. The more challenging your request is, the happier Erica is
to make it happen, aiming to make sure that each set of wedding stationary
carries the mood, theme, and personality of your wedding day within them. "My
goal is to make each set as perfect as possible. I put my heart and soul into
each one." Erica started her career in wedding invitation design in a
roundabout way. She found that she has always had a thirst for 'all things
creative'. This thirst took her to the International Academy of Design and
Technology for Interior Design. After graduating and planning her own 2005
wedding, "I found the hands-on creative job of designing my own wedding
invitations to be so rewarding that I decided I had...

"Ok, So
I am a little disturbed by the fact that they had mentioned A united
states website, verses a canadian website in an article about brides
on the web. First of all I am just biased against the other website,
because I tried to order fans, from their wedding shop, but I had to
have an american credit card and they only delivered to the states.
So I guess if you are having a destination wedding... and have an
american credit card, then it would be helpful... but... there was
no mention of a great canadian local website..."

Subject: The Proposal
"so, I've been engaged since march, but just wrote my
proposal down in my keepsake book and decided to post it on
here. It was our 3 year anniversary and I had been staying
at my parents house dog sitting for them. Chris has planned
to come over in the afternoon and then we were going to go
out for dinner as planned. Just before Chris arrived I
received a gerbera daisy arrangement. In the afternoon Chris
and I decided to go to the mall to kill some time before
dinner. I didn't know where we were going for dinner, as he
had planned it. I asked him when I needed to be ready for,
so I knew when I had to start getting ready. At 6:00 we went
outside to leave for dinner. At the end of the driveway was
a stretched limo. I didn't think this was for us!! He said
Happy Anniversary and told me he wanted to do something
special for it, so decided to rent a limo. He had wine and
coolers for us to have in the back of the limo. Before we
went for dinner he said we had some time to kill, as our
reservations were not until 7:00, so he mentioned that we go
for a walk. We stopped at the covered bridge in Guelph,
chatted, stood on the bridge, where he then got on his knee
and proposed!!! (I cried!!! even though I knew it was coming
at some point, as we had booked our hall before we were
engaged. hehe) After that, we got back in the limo and went
for dinner at the Other Brother's restaurant. we..."
