Dana Arkilander and
Adam Lauder met six years ago while sharing the late shift at a Waterloo coffee
pub. After work, they often found themselves playing cards into the wee hours of
the night. After Dana first asked Adam out to on an official date - to a movie -
that was it. "We've been together ever since."

Over the course of
fifteen years in the decorating industry Linda Lieu and her
company, CJ Group Celebrations, have seen trends come and go.
Linda takes this expertise to cater to each of her brides. She
has also built up a positive reputation among local wedding
vendors and couples - which was quite evident to staff at The
Ring through the rave reviews we received confirming Linda's
personalized service, trustworthiness and integrity in the
services she provides. When we met with Linda and browsed
through the massive inventory that she has built up over the
years, her mission to 'make it happen' was evident in the unique
and custom-made products she offers, her customization to each

Like
many wedding days, the cover of Bridal News Magazine required the
preparation and talents of some incredible people to bring it all
together... Bridal News Magazine is designed for the couples we meet online and in
person throughout the year. These real brides and grooms are living
their own inspiring, everyday love stories as they plan their weddings
in local communities across Ontario. That’s why, when it came time to
designing the cover of January 09’s Bridal News Magazine, we knew we
wanted a real bride to play the starring role... Toronto bride-to-be,
Stephanie Ekstein, is an enchanting girl whose natural beauty made her
the perfect choice for a day filled with everything from hair and
make-up to a fashion photography shoot. Here’s an inside look into the
making of the cover of Bridal News Magazine...

Competitive prices and a fun, relaxed approach

Tara
Jeles, Owner and Photographer at So Jeles Photography, uses
a fun, relaxed style of shooting to capture wedding days,
though you can also see a bit of her own artistic vision in
each image. Tara is young, fascinated by weddings, and uses
a refreshing energy to take on each wedding that comes her
way (most of which, do so by referral). Shooting completely
in digital format, she told us, "It’s the emotions of the
wedding that keep me in the wedding business. It’s capturing
the love and excitement as people begin a new life
together... and I get to be a part of their special day and
the start of that life together." When we first met Tara in
February 2008, she was going into her second season of
photography, and this professional photographer was already
fully booked for the year at the time. She has worked with
brides in London, Barrie, Peterborough, Haliburton and even
Jamaica. When we saw Tara's online availability calendar
filling in so quickly with weddings, Trash the Dress
sessions and maternity and baby shoots (among other things),
staff at The Ring thought we'd better update local brides on
all...
